A new patch has arrived for the motorcycle sim with TrackDayR Update 1.0.104.17 released, adding a new advanced setting menu with finer adjustments for tweaking your controller settings.
The new menu allows you to fine-tune the direct lean, steer force, steer damper, in air lean influence and rider damping to set up your controls in the best way possible for the device your’re using and the settings you prefer. It’s been released as an Alpha version, meaning it’s likely you’ll see a lot of further revisions to the configuration options based on feedback from racers.
Along with the advanced settings, the update also brings improvements to the lean code, steering algorithm and load transfer simulation.
It’s one of a number of smaller updates to have arrived since the most recent major released in January added an enduro map and electric bikes. And the motorcycle sim continues to improve three years after being released onto Steam Early Access, with an ever-expanding range of bikes and motorcycle sport, from road racing circuits and MotoGP bikes to supercross and flat track.
And that’s before the significant amount of mod content available, with bikes and tracks which haven’t been licensed by MadCow, the small team of indie devs behind TrackDayR. Personally, I’m hoping someone decides to replicate the 400cc sportsbikes of the 1990s, especially the RVF400, so I can relive the experience of past track days on one of my favourite bikes.
