Normally new content is released by Poplyphony Digital on a fairly slick schedule following a teaser by CEO Kazunori Yamauchi, but thanks to a slight mishap, we already know the four cars coming to Gran Turismo 7 in a mid-May update on the 15th.
The usual update at the end of the month didn’t happen in April, and then a server maintenance notice was posted for May 15th. But the PlayStation 5 homepage for GT7 accidentally revealed the official trailer which would normally accompany the release, and has been shared on Reddit.

So rather than the usual guessing game, we can pretty clearly say that the cars arriving on May 15th will be:
- Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06 ’01
- Ferrari 812 Superfast ’17
- Honda CR-V E: HEV EX Black Edition ’21
- Suzuki Carry KC’12

The Corvette is about the only generation of the Chevrolet sports car not already in Gran Turismo 7, so the arrival means you can now own the complete set. With a tuned version of the standard LS1 5.7 litre V8 dubbed the Z06, you get 385hp. That was less than the previous ZR-1, but the new car was both lighter and cheaper. It also gained new parts including uprated suspension, larger wheels and tyres and various weight saving parts.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast is the successor to the F12berlinetta already in Gran Turismo 7. While it’s been replaced in the real world by the 12Cilindri unveiled in 2024, it’s one of the most modern Italian sports cars which are available to drive in GT7, with the front mid-engine F140 GA V12 putting out 789hp without the need for a turbocharger, a top speed of 211mph, and 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds.
Fans of JDM and kei trucks will be excited by the arrival of the Suzuki Carry KC, which is the 10th generation of a model stretching back to 1961, and is still in production outside Japan despite a newer version being launched in 2013. Engine sizes range from 657cc to 993cc with a turbo option, and either a five-speed manual or three-speed auto gearbox. The KC models were available as either two or four-wheel drive, with the 658cc engine in a whole range of trim levels.
Finally, there’s the fifth generation CR-V, launched in 2016 and given a facelift in 2021. As an e:HEV, it’s an electric hybrid SUV, which arrived in 2021 with the 2.0 litre i-VTEC e:HEV. And the Black Edition appears to mainly refer to the wheels and trim.
