EA Sports WRC Hard Chargers DLC New Content Confirmed

March 19, 2025 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

Arriving for rally fans on March 25th, 2025, we now know what’s included in the last of the planned expansion packs with the EA Sports WRC Hard Chargers DLC new content confirmed.

The first thing to cover will be the six new cars arriving with the paid DLC, also available as part of the +24 Season Expansion Bundle, and they will be:

  • WRC 2017-2021: Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC ‘21
  • WRC 1997-2011: Ford Focus WRC ‘99
  • Rally3: Renault Clio Rally3
  • Rally4: Renault Clio Rally4
  • Rally4: Opel Corsa Rally4
  • H2 RWD: Ford Escort RS 1600 MK1

As an older sim racer, I’m particularly interested in the classic Escort, produced between 1967 and 1975, and driven by the likes of Roger Clark, Timo Makinen, Bjorn Waldegard and Hannu Mikkola to victories including the 1972 British RAC Rally (the first of eight consecutive wins), with the Ford works livery also included in the DLC. The versions used for rallying were the RS1600 and RS1800 which were powered by Cosworth BDA engines respectively.

  • Ford Escort RS 1600 MK1: “Team Esso” (1973)
