We’re ramping things up a bit when it comes to sim racing in 2025, and as part of that, our first Team ORD Social Night will take place on iRacing tomorrow, Wednesday January 15th, from 7pm.
Anyone is welcome to come and join us, and for our first public hangout, we’re going back to our roots with the free VW Jetta TDI, and the free Snetterton circuit. You can come along for the 1 hour 20 minute practice session, and also take place in qualifying and a 25 minute race at the end, which is just for fun. But if you’d rather not get competitive, then feel free to just enjoy some chilled practice laps..
You might want to learn the track, or even the Jetta, and we’re happy to share any tips and advice we can offer. Or perhaps you’re thinking about joining a team, and might want to come and see if you get on with us.
There’s no minimum iR/SR level required to join Team ORD – our focus is on helping everyone involved enjoy their sim racing and perform to the best of their abilities, whilst potentially winning some races and leagues at the same time.
You should be able to find the session by going to the Hosted tab on iRacing, and searching for ‘Team ORD Social Night’. And you can also sign up for the OnlineRaceDriver Discord, which will help if you want some one-on-one tuition, for example.
We’ll be running social nights throughout the year, starting out every 2 weeks on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. If you want to suggest a particular car and track combo, then you’re welcome to share ideas on the Discord. Or maybe you’d like to see us start running activities on other sims and games?
