How To Unlock Every Forza Horizon 5 Skill Tree Car

The latest game in the Horizon series has a huge range of cars available to own, whether you get them as rewards, or buy them through the Auction House and AutoShow. But there are a few that are a little more difficult to get, so here’s how to unlock every Forza Horizon 5 skill tree car.

To own these cars, you’ll need to accumulate skill points and go through the car mastery features of another vehicle. There are currently five vehicles unlockable, and they each have an associated Accolade. But one of them requires a base car that has to be rewarded for a specific Accolade, or by getting lucky with WheelSpins.

The five Forza Horizon skill tree cars are;

  • 2012 DeBerti Wrangler Unlimited
  • 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi
  • 1992 Hoonigan Mazda RX-7 Twerkstallion
  • 1991 Hoonigan Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche 911 Turbo
  • 1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR 1999

The easiest way to build up skill points quickly is to use a Formula Drift car, along with skill songs. You can earn around 10 skill points per run, by getting a score of around 700,000 or so. After which, you can bank it, and then start a new run.

It’s possible to find each base car via the Auction House, but the risk is that the previous owner will have already gone through the Car Mastery skill tree and unlocked the reward car. So it won’t be available to you. Of all the unlockable cars, the RX-7 Twerkstallion is the most useful as an A Class drift car for Horizon Open drift racing.

Unlock the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi

You’ll need to buy the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, which is available via the Auto Show for 103,000 credits, and build up 66 Skill Points. At which point you can unlock the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi

Unlock the 2013 DeBerti Wrangler Unlimited

For this, you’ll need the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, which can be bought for 50,000 credits via the Auto Show, and 60 skill points.

Unlock the Lamborghini Diablo GTR 1999

Buy the 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV for 174,000 credits, build up 64 skill points, and you’ll be able to unlock the 1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR

Unlock the 1991 Hoonigan Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche 911 Turbo

This will require both the 9115 Porsche 911 GT2, at a cost of 550,000 from the Auto Show, and 71 skill points to get access to the 1991 Hoonigan Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche 911 Turbo

Unlock the 1992 Hoonigan Mazda RX-7 Twerkstallion

This is the most challenging of the unlockable skill tree cars in Forza Horzion 5. First you’ll need to get the 1990 Mazda Savanna RX-7, which isn’t available from the Auto Show. You’ll need to either be lucky with Wheelspin rewards or a Playlist prize, or complete the Super7 Accolade, which required you to complete the Super7 challenge list three times.

Once you have the Savanna RX-7, you’ll need just 59 skill points to go through the Car Mastery tree directly to the Twerkstallion reward.

You can buy Forza Horizon 5 via the Microsoft Store, or for the PC via Steam. Keep up to date with the latest Forza Horizon 5 news, updates and DLC, here. And take a look at all the latest cars released for the game in our Forza Horizon 5 car list.
