Fujimi Kaido Returns To Forza Motorsport In A May 2025 Update

March 24, 2025 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

Celebrating 20 years since the flagship racing series launched for Xbox consoles, the legendary Fujimi Kaido returns to Forza Motorsport in a May 2025 update.

The original Forza Motorsport launched on May 3rd in North American and May 13th, 2005 in the EU, and included the fictional Fujimi Kaido touge route wining through Japanese mountain roads based on the Kita-Kantou region near Mount Fuji. With seven layouts up to the full 10.2 mile version, all of which could be driven in reverse, it proved hugely popular with anyone wanting to test their drifting skills as well as normal racing.

Appearing in sequels Forza Motorsport 3 and 4, if you saw people making drifting videos in those games, the odds were that it would be on Fujimi Kaido.

The good news is that apparently the Full Circuit and Full Circuit Reverse will add the full 10.24 miles to the new Forza Motorsport, including 144 extreme turns, and 2,711 feet of elevation. Apparently recreating it started with the release of the latest title in October 2023, and has become the biggest track project taken so far.

Apparently it’s not the only content coming to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Forza Motorsport series, which will include some highly requested cars, unlockable driver suits, special events, theme Rivals challenges and more.

And it’s safe to say that without the Forza Motorsport series, along with Project Gotham Racing, I wouldn’t have rediscovered my love of racing games, invested in sim racing, or started this very website back in 2009. The easy availability of online multiplayer on console and relatively low cost compared to a PC set-up led me to various Forza leagues

In fact, one of my first ever posts here was sharing a Youtube clip created by Team Blackjack, featruing them drifting on Fujimi Kaido in Forza Motorsport 3, back in 2009. Followed by an introduction to the IFCA league and community, which is still going strong in 2025.

While I may have drifted more into sim racing than the simcade of Forza over the years, the 20th Anniversary is certainly bringing back lots of great memories, and giving me a good reason to return and see how two decades is being celebrated by Turn 10. As well as the chance to once again take on drifting down Fujimi Kaido…

Forza Motorsport is available for the PC via Steam or the Xbox Series X/S and via the Microsoft Store. And you can also play it via Game Pass for both Xbox and PC.
