Assetto Corsa EVO Update 1.6 Adds Two Cars And Fuji Speedway

February 14, 2025 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

The first update to be focused on adding content rather than fixing initial Early Access launch issues, Assetto Corsa EVO Update 1.6 adds two cars and Fuji Speedway when it arrives on Wednesday 19th, February 2025.

This fits with the previously shared roadmap for the racing simulation, with Content Drop 1 outlined as including two cars, Fuji and ‘new special events’ which have yet to be revealed. But alongside the Japanese circuit which briefly featured in the initial teaser trailer for EVO, Italian developers Kunos Simulazioni have now revealed that the cars in question will be a classic Lancia and a modern Lamborghini.

Assetto Corsa EVO Update 1.6 adds two cars including the Lancia Delta HF Integrale “Evoluzione 2”

The Lancia Delta HF Integrale “Evoluzione 2″ was unveiled in June 1993 with more power (212hp) from the two-litre 16-valve turbo engine featuring a Garrett turbocharger, a Marelli integrated engine control system, new 16” light alloy rims, Recaro seats and a new three-spoke Momo steering wheel, available as standard in just white, red or dark blue, but with various limited editions including the Giallo Ginestra yellow featured in Assetto Corsa EVO.

It’s an interesting choice, considering one of the original rally homologation specials had been officially retired from rallying by the factory in 1992, after the HF Integrale 16v had won both the driver and manufacturer WRC titles. And while the original Evos were successfully rallied by privateer teams, the Evoluzione 2 was never actually developed into a rally car.

The Lamborghini Huracán STO, meanwhile, is the very much track-focused version of the Italian supercar, featuring a shark fin aero device connecting the roof snorkel with the rear wing, an engine cover similar to the Super Trofeo racing cars, and a body made of 75% carbon fibre.

Produced since 2021, it puts out 631hp and 565Nm of torque with a 202mph top speed from the 5.2 V10, and is one of the rear-wheel drive cars in the range. The Huracan LP 640-2 STO also features rear wheel steering and CCMR brakes.

Alongside the cars, and possibly more exciting, is the arrival of Fuji Speedway, with the Japanese circuit featuring one of the longest straights in motorsport, at almost one mile long. It’s hosted a wide range of events, including F1 and MotoGP in the past, and is currently on the calendar for FIA WEC, GT World Challenge Asia, Super GT, Super Formula, and Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia amongst others.

While Fuji has appeared in various sim racing titles and racing games, including iRacing, rFactor, Project CARS 2, GT Legends and most Gran Turismo titles, it’s the first time it will appear in an Assetto Corsa title.

Looking at the roadmap, the next major update will be the 2nd Early Access release which adds 5 cars, the Circuit of the Americas, single player and cusom race weekends, and the next steps in VR and triple screen support, along with replay tools and gallery.

Update 1.6 will arrive for Assetto Corsa EVO on Wednesday, February 19th. Assetto Corsa EVO is currently available for the PC via Steam Early Access, here. And you can keep up with the latest news and updates here, along with all the content releases via our car list and track list.
