Assetto Corsa Competizione GT2 Pack Adds The Red Bull Ring

Arriving on January 24th, the Assetto Corsa Competizione GT2 Pack adds the Red Bull Ring to the racing sim, along with six confirmed new cars.

Originally the Osterreichring was built in 1969, it was renamed as the Red Bull Ring from 2011 following a €70 million rebuild. Since dropping to a 2.7 mile length for the motorcycle circuit and 2.683 miles for the GP layout, the venue has hosted F1 since 2013, and MotoGP since 2016. And having held rounds of the GT2 European Series, it’s a logical addition to the DLC, with the current lap record in the class held by Pierre Kaffer in an Audi R8 LMS GT2 with a time of 1:30.443.

The 2024 Fanatec GT2 European Series will visit Circuit Paul Ricard, Misano, Spa, Hockenheim, Monza and Barcelona. Five of those circuits are included as standard with Assetto Corsa Competizione, so you could use the Red Bull Ring as a stand-in for the Hockenheimring.

And you’ll be able to take on the challenge of beating that time with the Audi one of the cars including the Assetto Corsa Competizione GT2 Pack. The full list below doesn’t include the Brabham BT62/BT63 as that car is no longer racing in the series due to the end of a collaboration between Brabham Group and Brabham Automotive.

The Assetto Corsa Competizione GT2 Pack will initially be available for the PC version of the sim racing title, with a console release yet to be confirmed or scheduled. Usually PlayStation and Xbox owners have to wait a few months. And there’s still the upcoming release of the previously announced Nordschleife to look forward to.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is available as a digital download for the PC via Steam, the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S via the Microsoft Store, or the PS4 and PS5 via the PlayStation Store. And also as a physical edition from Game or Amazon.
