Upgradeable Thrustmaster Raceline Pedals LTE Revealed

August 22, 2024 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

A new range of modular sim racing pedal sets has been unveiled, with the new upgradeable Thrustmaster Raceline Pedals LTE revealed during Gamescom 2024. They’re the first and lowest priced of the three options which will be included in the Raceline range, priced somewhere similar to the existing T2PM and T3PM pedals under £100.

You’ll get two pedals, metal construction with a sandblasted finish, and two brake springs to adjust the braking resistance, along with three notches for tweaks to both pedals. They continue to use magnetic H.E.A.R.T sensors, as with the current T3PM pedals.

But more interesting is the option to invest in the Raceline Pedals Upgrade Kit at a later date, which converts your set-up to three-pedals including one with a load cell, a wider metal plate, and metal pedal heads.

Normally upgrading your sim rig means buying new equipment and either finding somewhere to store your old wheels, pedals and other gear in case you need a backup. Or going through the fun of selling it online. And then spending a while getting used to your new set-up before you see any improvements on track.

So having a more modular and upgradeable approach makes improving your setup a bit less hassle, as well as potentially cheaper. And it might also mean you don’t take so long to get used to your new pedals.

The new range of Thrustmaster Pedals will also include the Raceline Pedals III, which includes a clutch pedal as standard. And the Raceline Pedals III Load Cell, which as you might imagine, will include a load cell brake pedal, and will probably replace the existing T-LCM pedal set over time.

Having used the T2PM,T3PM and T-LCM pedals a lot, if the Raceline range offer more rigidity and build quality, then that’s a good thing. And doing away with the existing plastic footrest covers will certainly make them feel stronger and more durable. They’ll be PC compatible, and will probably also work with consoles if you’re connecting them via a compatible wheelbase.

The Thrustmaster Raceline Pedals LTE are due to become available at some point in 2024, with the Upgrade Kit and three-pedal sets due to arrive at some point in 2025.
