Automobilista Introductory Offers

August 28, 2016 By Andy ORD Leave a Comment

Reiza Studios’ latest work has left Steam’s Early Access programme with the release of Automobilista Motorsports Simulator Version 1.0 (AMS).

At least a top-flight contender for being rated as the best all-round PC sim racing package alongside its Stock Car Extreme predecessor, Automobilista not only gives variety through a wide-ranging mix of tracks and cars but it is also open to modding. AMS doesn’t just begin on good form but also has more to come from Reiza itself with the gradual release of additional cars and race venues.

Priced at £29.99 (€36.99 EUR or $39.99 USD) in its comprehensive ‘standard’ form, a couple of expansion options are also available on Steam with discounted introductory prices.

A 19 percent discount reduces the bundle price down to £43.08 (usually £52.98). Including the regular prices in brackets, Steam Prices tells us that the European and North American numbers are €52.85 (€64.98) and $56.93 ($69.98).

For anyone wanting to add a Season Pass to the AMS base, it’s available for £20.69, a 10 percent discount on what will shortly become the normal £22.99 price.  Again, Euro and Dollar prices are €25.19 (€27.99) and $26.99 ($29.99).

Automobilista Season Pass Note

When bought alone or as part of the bundle, the Season Pass will append Automobilista Beta access to the allied Steam account. Available as a separate installation on Steam, Beta will present users with pre-release access to new builds and content.

Or buy direct… but HURRY!

Ending today, Reiza is also offering direct-purchase membership packages. The standard Automobilista base game option provides the same final version of AMS that we see at a slightly higher price on Steam. $29.99 USD (£23 or €27) buys a Steam key that will be delivered by e-mail.

For the same limited time and detailed in that last link, current and new owners can instead opt to make a ‘full membership’ purchase. The Reiza Membership ALL-INCLUSIVE Package UPGRADE is $24.99 (£19 or €23), accompanied by a $54.99 (£42 or €50) Reiza Membership ALL-INCLUSIVE Package for first-time buyers.

N.B. Direct purchases are non-refundable.

To buy any of these AMS packs directly, you must have a Reiza forum account, sign in and associate it with your Steam account. The connected accounts will then verify your membership level and eligibility.

Anyone with a full membership gains access to the Reiza 51 development section of the company’s friendly forum as well as, of course, the ability to join in with the beta testing through the frequent release of interim versions of Automobilista and new cars and circuits.

If testing doesn’t appeal, then content certainly should! Like a Season Pass purchase, the full membership tier includes all future downloadable content.

First Automobilista DLC…

An appealing first expansion to AMS was announced a few weeks ago. In terms of new locations, the Brit Pack will feature Brands Hatch, Cadwell and my personal favourite, Oulton Park. Exemplifying Reiza’s ability to build diversity into its racing sims, the DLC will also add the ‘Sports Prototype’ MCR Sports 2000, several Caterham cars and both road and GT variants of the Ultima GTR.

When the Brit Pack content reaches Steam, it will be sold as the full set of cars and tracks listed above for $19.99 USD or the local equivalent. Pieces of the Brit Pack will also be available individually, with prices starting at $1.99 for the MCR and going up to $4.99 for each track.

A previously unannounced and self-descriptive Formula Trainer will also reach Automobilista in the Brit Pack. Reiza plans to release this first car and track collection about a month from now.

Reiza Studios will release a further four DLC packages for Automobilista over the following months.
