After releasing a H pattern sim racing gearshifter at the start of 2023, 12 months later the new Moza SGP Sequential Shifter launches for pre-orders.
The Moza SGP Sequential Shifter features an all-metal construction using aerospace-grade aluminium alloy and steel, and a Hall Effect sensor for durability and reliability. It’s claimed to have accurate shifting with swift rebounds to feel just like the real thing, and features a USB connection to compatible Moza bases, or directly to your PC.
It’s also customisable, with a changeable shift knob using a standard M12 thread, and up to 64mm of adjustment for the height. There’s also a multi-functional handle which you can set for quickly shifting into neautral or reverse, or other common uses. Along with two mechanical RGB backlit buttons on the base of the shifter.
As you might expect, the new shifter is integrated with the MOZA Pit House software, which lets you change the colours and settings.
With an expected shipping date from February 20th, 2024, the new SGP shifter costs £105, between the cost of the HBP handbrake at £95, and the HGP shifter at £139. Moza also offer a handbrake and shifter table clamp for £27, if your sim racing rig or setup doesn’t have a solution in place for additional levers.
It looks great, and is an obvious choice if you already own a Moza wheelbase and pedals. Aside from the cost, the only downside of separate products is the amount of USB ports that you end up needing.
