Drivers of Grand Touring Endurance cars will be interested to see a new rFactor 2 GTE update released now. The changes are applied to six cars within the Studio 397 racing sim, with an overall improvement to aerodynamics across the class.
With some drivers finding the GTE cars unstable and prone to oversteer when drafting rivals, there’s now been a tweak to hopefully prevent this problem from occuring in future. So you can ride someone’s bumper in confidence once again.
You’ll also be able adjust specific upgrades and have them applied on to specific tracks, along with finding slight changes to the fuel capacity for some of the cars. And fuel is important in GTE endurance racing.
The best news is for fans of the Aston Martin Vantage GTE, which gets a 2kg weight penalty reduction, and 2% increase to engine power and torque.

Aston Martin Vantage GTE v1.65
- Weight penalty reduced by 2kg for the standard package,
- Engine power/torque output increased by 2%,
- Tweaks to aero draft dropoff (reduces excessive oversteer in close drafting)

BMW M8 GTE v2.19
- Fuel tank capacity reduced by 1L (to 99L) for the standard package,

Chevrolet Corvette C7.R GTE v2.59
- Fuel tank capacity reduced by 2L (to 93L) for the standard package,
- Tweaks to aero draft dropoff (reduces excessive oversteer in close drafting)
- Added trackconfig.ini to upgrade.rfcmp. Aero upgrades should now be forced based on track.
Chevrolet Corvette C8.R GTE v1.07
