GRID Season 3 Adds 6 New Cars and Suzuka

April 10, 2020 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

Arriving to the game on April 15th, 2020, GRID Season 3 adds 6 new cars and Suzuka to race them on. GRID Season 1 focused on Hot Hatches, Season 2 added Track Day Supercars, and now Season 3 brings some Hypercars to the Codemasters racing title.

Owners of the base game will get access to two new Super GT cars, and be able to race the Bugatti Veryon 16.4 Super Sport as a loan car in multiplayer. But if you have the GRID Ultimate Edition or Season 3 content, then all the cars, the new circuit, and some extra customisation options will become available on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game on April 15th, and to the Google Stadia edition soon after.

Codemasters have also tweaked the credit reward system to increase the payouts you will get for Freeplay and Multiplayer by between four and ten times. And they’ve added nine new achievements based on lap time challenges for different Season content car and track combinations.

GRID Season 3 Cars:

The owners of GRID Ultimate and Season 3 content will get to drive the Ferrari FXX-K Evo.

Plus you’ll also get to drive two Swedish hypercars with the Koenigsegg Jesko and Agera RS.

That trio are all exclusive to the owners of the DLC content. But as mentioned above, you’ll be able to drive the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport as a loan car in Multiplayer if you have the base game.

And everyone will get access to two very suitable Japanese Super GT cars to enjoy around the new addition of the Suzuka Circuit. The duo are the Honda NSX-GT and the Nissan GT-R Racing Car (GT500 Spec), which have the handling and performance to tackle the iconic Japanese race venue.

Speaking of Suzuka, multiple layouts will be available, as explained by GRID Lead Level Designer, Matthew Battison from Codemasters:

“This is the first time that the Suzuka Circuit has featured in the GRID Series, what took us so long?! Over the years, Suzuka Circuit has been heralded as one of the most demanding and rewarding circuits in the world.

Drivers rate this track highly, we do too, so we know GRID players will as well. Suzuka Circuit features almost every type of corner from the famous Esses at the start of the lap to Spoon Curve and the infamous 130R corner at the end of the lap – don’t forget it’s also a figure of eight configuration. It’s not just the full Grand Prix circuit that you can expect to play, we have also included the East and West Courses for you to enjoy too.”

Finally, the additional cusomisation options include 14 new liveries, six new livery patterns, five new player cars, and five new player banners.

You can download GRID for the PC via Steam. Console owners can try out the game for free and purchase it via the PlayStation Store for the PS4 (Currently discounted until 29th April 2020 at just £15.99 – Ultimate Edition £24.99), or the Microsoft Store for the Xbox One (Also £15.99, but only until April 13th, 2020 – Ultimate Edition £21.99)

You can also buy physical copies of GRID from Game or Amazon.

And of course, you can keep up with our latest GRID news and coverage, or check out the full GRID track list to see every circuit included in the game.
