In the midst of some upheaval for the company, Fanatec gets a new official F1 provider and license deal. The renewal of the existing agreement will run for multiple years, and means they’ll continue supplying teams and drivers in the Formula 1 Sim Racing series.
And it also means there will be more F1 products being launched for sim racing, including the latest licensed package, which includes the new ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 and 15Nm ClubSport DD+ Wheel Base (which is also officially licensed for the PS4 and PS5).
Coming in at €1,299.95, the 270mm F1 sim racing wheel features a unique blue forced carbon finish with perforated leather grips, magnetic paddle shifters, OLED display and RGB LEDS which are programmable for revs, along with two warning lights which can be triggered by car telemetry or warning flags on circuit.
The other half of the package is the Clubsport DD+ 15M, wheel base which features the new FullForce feedback system, the QR2 quick release (with a downgrade to the QR1 via an additional purchase), and is compatible with all Fanatec wheels, pedals, and pretty much everything in the range.
As an officially licensed PlayStation product, it’s obviously compatible with the PS4 and PS5, but also works with PCs. And it’s currently the only way to get your hands on the new wheel, as the nearest equivalent available individualls is the older and plainer ClubSport Steering Wheel F1 Esports V2.
